I think Mera qi is a brilliant space to reconnect with your own self. I have attended a Sound healing session here with Anandji, another organic healing session with Martin Dubois and a Sufi Kirtan by Bani. All were v invigorating, yet relaxing. They keep on organising events focussion on mental, physical and emotional healing. Glad to have access to this place
This place has changed my life. It is probably the only real art and cultural center of the city. Mera qi is a space which allows all kinds of artists to flourish. If there is something you want to do in the city, you can always trust to reach out to this space.
A quirky little pop-up led me to Meraqui’s doors, and I haven’t looked back since. If you’re looking for a space in the tri-city area to heal, connect, express your talent, or simply share your thoughts in this wild world of adulting, this is the place. Ayesha is one of the warmest people you’ll ever meet, always ready to listen, support, and open her heart. If art, movement, flow, and creation speak to your soul, Meraqui is the hidden gem you’ve been missing.
The first time I came to Mera Qi was back in 2019, when I, along with my partner, facilitated a Partner Yoga workshop. Since then, over the years, I’ve had the chance to teach, facilitate, and also participate in many different sessions and workshops here. Mera Qi is truly a unique space in Chandigarh — even today, I don’t see any other place quite like it. It’s one of those rare spaces where so many diverse artists come together to share their knowledge and experiences through workshops, retreats, and classes. Lately, I’ve been drawn towards Contact Improvisation — a fascinating movement practice that benefits all kinds of artists in their own way. This form, which originated in the U.S. in the 1970s (initiated by Steve Paxton, Nancy Stark Smith, Karen, and others), falls under post-modern dance. While it may appear physical on the surface, it carries a deep experiential and healing quality — something that resonates beautifully with India’s spiritually rooted culture. I could explore and share this work here only because of the curator, Ayesha, who is such a wonderful person. With her deep understanding of multiple art forms and her warm, supportive nature, she knows exactly how to host and guide artists. One of the best things about Mera Qi is its design and atmosphere. The locality is peaceful, full of greenery, and has a calm, elegant vibe. The studio itself is thoughtfully equipped — with yoga props, projector and screen, warm and neon lighting, a great music system, and more. My personal favorite detail is the transparent door that opens out into the lawn — often filled with birds and soothing green views. This space has truly been a nurturing ground for creativity, connection, and growth.
I absolutely love this home-based studio/space called Mera Qi. It’s very welcoming and peaceful space filled with positive energy. Ms Ayesha hosts such a wonderful variety of sessions — Yoga, Meditation, Healing circles, Kirtan, Movie screenings, Dance movement classes, and Acting workshops — all led with genuine care and intention. Every visit feels meaningful, whether you’re there to relax, learn, or express yourself creatively. It truly feels like a small community hub for wellness, creativity, and connection. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nurturing space to grow, heal, and explore.
I attended a ceremony led by Gurnimit Singh here. It was an amazing experience. The space that Ayesha has created is so welcoming. As soon as you enter the gate warm energy just fills your heart. Ayesha is an absolute angel, she has put so much love & care into the space and she is such a genuine soul herself. The bathroom is also very accessible and the yoga hall is very spacious. I am grateful to have met Ayesha and to have attended this ceremony at Mera Qi..may Mera Qi keep bringing souls together for healing for many generations to come. Thank you !
Here’s a place that would open up the world of possibilities to you. Is it a yoga studio? Yes. Is it a dance floor? Yes. Is it a stage area? Yes. Is it a screening area? Absolutely yes. With the core of sustainability and wellness at heart, Mera Qi is home to retreats and events that rejuvenate one’s soul. From meditation camps to dance movement therapy sessions, it takes care of everything going on in your mind. At the same time, you’ll see people losing themselves on the dance floor during their Friday night discotheque events, and that too mindfully so.
