On July 30th, 2025, I welcomed my baby boy, into this world through a natural vaginal delivery — a day that redefined strength, patience, and grace for me. My pregnancy journey wasn’t an easy one. I had always dreamt of a natural birth, so in my second trimester, I began prenatal yoga with Yamini, determined to prepare my body and mind for it. But in April, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which turned my journey upside down. Suddenly, every meal, every walk, and every yoga session became part of a disciplined rhythm. I followed a strict diet, walk routine, and continued yoga three times a week — doing everything in my power to stay strong and hopeful. Gestational diabetes often increases the chances of a C-section, as babies tend to grow larger than normal. When my doctor suggested inducing labor at 39 weeks, I wasn’t emotionally ready to walk into the hospital without experiencing natural contractions. That’s when Yamini became more than just a yoga instructor — she became my anchor. Through those anxious final weeks, Yamini believed in me more than I believed in myself. She patiently guided me — teaching me how to breathe through pain, use humming sounds to stay centered, and practice specific movements on the birthing ball to help labor progress naturally. She even told me I could call her any time of the day, no matter the time zone difference between India and the U.S., and she truly meant it — always there to listen, encourage, or simply calm my fears. Beyond the physical preparation, she taught me acceptance. She reminded me that if things didn’t go as planned and I needed a C-section, that was okay too — that trusting my doctor and doing what’s best for my baby was what truly mattered. Her faith in me and the preparation we did together gave me the confidence I needed. When the day finally came, I was ready — calm, grounded, and strong. And just like that, after all the uncertainty and effort, I delivered my baby boy naturally. But what makes Yamini truly special is what came after. Most people consider the yoga journey complete once the baby arrives. Yamini didn’t. She stayed in touch — checking in on my well-being, guiding me through the early days of motherhood, showing me how to swaddle, rock baby to sleep, and reminding me to care for myself too. She did all this with the warmth and wisdom of an elder sister, not just a teacher. I’ll forever be grateful for her unwavering support, compassion, and belief in me. Because of her, I not only birthed my baby — I discovered a stronger, more resilient version of myself.

I've taken pre natal yoga sessions from Yamini and it was really really helpful furing my labor. Her classes really helped me a lot during my third trimester. She approaches everyone personally and find out if any help is required and also the birth prep one on one session was also really helpful for me. I would for sure recommend her to my friends.
