Kushal is a great ashtanga yoga teacher. He usually keeps small classes, Mysore style, resulting in a lot of attention and adjustments per practitioner. He is very good at balancing your efforts, pushing you a bit to go further in your practice, but not putting you at risk of injury. He seems to have a good sense of your current limitations. The yoga center is good for all levels, beginners and pros. While we attended his classes, the class consisted mostly of highly experienced practitioners (yoga teachers with 10-15 years of experience), but Kushal also welcomed beginners. As a beginner you build up the sequence asana for asana, and Kushal makes sure you learn them properly before you move on. Highly recommended:)

My time spent with Kushal at his school was truly humbling. He is a wonderful teacher that helps you to navigate into the deeper layers of the practice and really understand the body. He really helps you to understand the diner details of yoga and build a solid foundation for you to grow and progress on your journey.

Once I thought ashtanga yoga is less spiritual than hatha yoga but with Kushal I have learnt a lot of ways to go more inside. It was here in Kushal's shala I learnt Gayatri mantra. He is so generous. Shared so much wisdom and helped overcome doubts. His classes gave me a profound mix of techniques on how to perform asanas and devotional aspects of yoga. The shala is also located in the old and charming Laxmipuram neighbourhood. I miss my morning practises with Kushal.

I am a yogini and a yoga teacher. Mysore is a main place for Ashtanga practice. I were luckily to find out this school to deepen my Ashtanga practice. Kushalji knows very well of all level student and will give you a suitable instruction to deepen your practice. Nice adjustment, knowledge of anatomy. Nice and clean place, teach you not only asana but also discipline of practice. Recommended for yoga teacher and Ashtangi.
