Rourkela Municipal Library and Cultural Centre

Rourkela municipal library provides an air conditioner library for free of cost . It also provides newspapers for students in many languages in English, Hindi, and Odia. Any type of students can come to study here school , college and competitive students. The environment of the library is peaceful and calm without any disturbance.

I love my local library! It's a peaceful haven with a great selection of books, helpful staff, and a cozy atmosphere. Perfect for studying or just getting lost in a good book.

Library is good but the environment is worst. Students come to study here gets distracted because of the noise. A call center inside the library and the noise they make, makes it worst place to study. But we have to go for our preparation because there is no other option. Library staffs can't help you for the disturbance and if you go to complain in municipality they will say they are working on it but there's no difference. People for different background comes to study here and the place will make you frustrate .

infrastructure is good but the most serious problem is disturbance inside reading room. Staffs keep on talking irrelevant and useless topics and laughing too loud including some readers like they are in a bus stand(it is a nexus).Believe me even if you use headphone to listen lecture their noise can disturb you easily. Even their phone is not in silent mode as well keeps ringing. Sometimes it is not clean as well. I left the library after going some time as silence is main concern. RMC Commissioner and Librarian must pay attention to staff in library so that discipline must be maintained which will help students to focus on study.

Too good with all amenities its clean and good. Ppl come in morning to study. Only thing they have stopped the wifi now. But students combinely use a wifi which you can pay by yourself other wise environment is vey good.

Library is good but Library staff is very bad when you study the staff loudly speak to everyone and personal comments and library open 8am but she come to 11 am 1/2 an hour work and go to own House and come to when closed library... Always shouting to all please sir change the library staff..

The rourkela municipality corporation is in the management charge of this library but they never pay attention to this place. They hardly listen to any complaint made. Infrastructure don't bring education, if the environment is too noisy and is not study friendly.
