It was nice. I had gone there for a poetry recital and it didn't disappoint. It is clean and kept. The receptionists were not able to give any proper info for any consultations later. The price for fees is very high for learners or even the library, which really isn't that impressive because it only houses of the classics and some school and university books, along with the newly published ones.

The British Council Intermediate English course was truly rewarding for me. All the teachers, especially Shatabdi Ma’am, Goutam Sir, Jyoti Ma’am, and others – are outstanding. They not only teach English with great clarity but also create a very supportive and encouraging environment. Each class was interactive and enjoyable, which helped me gain confidence in speaking and writing. The way they patiently explained grammar, corrected pronunciation, and motivated us to practice was really inspiring.I feel more confident in using English in daily life after completing this course. I highly recommended it to anyone who wants to improve their skills step by step.

No, doubt this place is haven for the newly learner,who wants to improve there English but at a very high cost. For jobs preparation like interviews and GD,they have the cracked course which cost 8999, for 12-14 classes for a month, which mean per class cost u 599-799, which is too expensive.

This place is heaven for me! Books have been my love language and I am delighted to find books of different topics here in this Library- be it science, maths, history, polity, geography, story books of various genres, science journals and so many more. I made the best decision of joining the British council as a student and I get to explore this Library everyday!

26th march the BC held family carnival for kids and families at their camac streetL&T chambers. Was open for general public, they have made nice arrangements to engage kids dividing them in to different groups over various activities. The idea was probably to promote and campaign the paid membership and eneral awareness on English learning and courses being offered for kids and adults.

The spoken English class/course is Not good for beginners. If you are a brilliant student then you can adapt yourself. But not for average or above average students. If you are a average and above average student then you can't adapt yourself with their coaching style. At the admition time they will tell you they will keep a different batch and different class for beginners,average and above average students. But after admission, you will be placed with those who have been studying for a long time, making it difficult for newcomers to adapt to them. It is difficult for those who are from Bengali medium. If you are a Bengali medium student and you are a average or above average student then try to avoid this institute. And remember the price is very high. They charge a lot of money. You should think before enrolling. But the class room is clean and ac is available it is a positive side. The teachers' behavior is also very good. But everyone will not be able to adapt to their teaching style.

For IELTS exam and other courses on English language you may visit the place to improve your English. They offer many courses for each age group. They also offer a library service but the stocks are outnumbered by the vast collection of National library which is a couple of kilometers away.
