State Library

State library has an ample collection of books of various subjects. You can avail the services by paying a minimal registration fee of ₹200 (as on Feb. 2022) There is a spacious reading room, three floors of books, a computer room and also has collection of books on NE and Nagaland which you may not find elsewhere

Most of the books available are quite old but regardless you will find a wide variety of books and information about the state ranging from History, politics, geography, art and culture, literature etc. I like the ambience of the building as well although it gets pretty cold inside during the winter season.

Good place to sit and study. 🙂

Very nice and silent area and best for readers

It's a quite place and pleasant it's a must visit ...

Poorly and shabby unorganized.pathethic condition.The books are outdated and not much relevant to students needs for competitive exam.hardly could find a piece of useful information.

Books based on flora and fauna and the history of the Nagas in the North East Section could be added as well
