Bantra Public Library

Many new collection of books are available... At a low monthly fees any member can read periodicals and story books and also school or college syllabus oriented books here. If you require some special book which are not available there, they also bring those books. For children and for adults there are different groups. At any age anyone can join there. Good behaviour of all staffs. They are also helpful. A huge stock of books are cataloged in a good manner. A non member can only enjoy the free newspapers for reading there.

The library is very specious and good..... It is one of the oldest library of this area... It is lacated near kadamtala bazaar..easily accessible.. You can access any kind of books of the library if you have membership... Non members can read their own books and newspapers of library in peace for hours... Huge sitting arrangements are there... The maintenance needs to be improved a little bit. Else everything is fine. During saraswati puja there is a huge gathering to worship Goddess Saraswati... Many cultural functions also take place here..

Good library with different types of books. Some valuable antique books also available in the library. There is a good table tennis section in the library. But sometime lethargic attitude of some staff haunt some people. Overall atmosphere of the place is very good.

This library is very popular and old... There are lots of book collection...library staff are very helpfull...Every Year this library organised a book fair in swaraswati puja days...There is a hall to use for theatre and any cultural program...

Big public library in kadamtala locality. It's very old but well managed library consist of enormous collection of books. Both novel and text books are available here. All local nees papers and magazines are also available for free reading in a huge reading table. Subscription for membership is very minimal.

Very olden days name is related to this place. It one one of the most famous libraries in Howrah. Besides , this place is nicely running a pre primary school by the same name. Very good place with energetic ambience.

I am Ritam Mondal, I have my life's first school days spend here. I read till preparatory. Now I am reading in St.Thomas' howrah class 9 I still remember the days when I played in the small ground. I still remember we went to picnic (from school) somewhere in Kolkata i think. The head mam Mrs. Jharna Bose loves the children a lot. My small brother also read till preparatory here he took transfer certificate from there on 2021 and is currently in class I in the same school of mine . If all the teachers still know me I think nothing can be great as that ❤️❤️❤️❤️
