An Ideal Place for Learning and Peaceful Reading. The library is truly one of the best places for readers, students, and researchers. It offers a calm and peaceful environment, perfect for studying or simply enjoying a good book. The collection is vast—ranging from academic resources to literature, journals, and magazines—ensuring that readers of all interests find something valuable. The staff members are very cooperative and always ready to help in finding books or providing information. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the atmosphere encourages focus and deep thinking. Modern facilities like Wi-Fi, digital catalogues, and computer access make research much easier. Overall, this library is not just a place filled with books, but a true hub of knowledge, inspiration, and growth. Highly recommended for anyone who loves reading and learning!

The Central Library is housed in a two-storied building in the Golapbag campus. Being in the middle of the campus it is easily accessible from all departments of the university. It has a carpet area of about 12,000 sq ft. The library opens from 8 am to 7 pm except Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturdays, it remains open from 10 am to 5 pm. Library remains closed in Sunday.  (Info: buruniv.ac.in)

Central Library of Burdwan University, near Mathematics department..if you're a student, or even ex student, or teacher then you'll be given library cards and access to bring books to your home or even you can read the book in that place..pleasant and quite atmosphere inside..if you're not a student or teacher of any part of this university then you should ask the administrative officers the process of being a member of the library.. There are huge collection of books, reading room, also you can read your own borrowed books there just to pass sometime in that calm atmosphere and the building is well maintained..

The system in this library is not good. The library officials are extremely unprofessional. What for is the information brochure uploaded in the official website of the university if what is written is not practiced in reality?? The "library rules" are just for the namesake only once you go there you will encounter a completely different set of rules from the ones mentioned in the brochure available on their official website.
