Overall a very good experience. Except a couple of people, very good readers or students come here, very sensible and professional towards there studies. Nice and clean washrooms. But the lighting is dim in the main hall. It can be better. And lastly there is no air conditioner. So keep that in mind.

This is the only public library in Ambala City, situated on Railway Road, Old Town Near Ambala City Railway Station. It was made during pre-independence period. Firstly used as retiring room for English officers then converted to public library. Renamed Guru Gobind Singh Library after independence. Made in Mughal Style Architecture. Its reading rooms and halls are very spacious, high ceilings and cooling ambiance. Walls are neatly painted, tables-chairs are good. All readers are damn serious and pin drop silence available in reading rooms. BUT KINDLY STOP WRITING ON READING TABLES. You can sit during break/lay down for nap/talk on mobile/read in sunlight/take a walk after lunch in open auditorium. BUT STOP LEAVING THE CHAIR IN OPEN AUDITORIUM WHILE LEAVING THE LIBRARY. There is walkway around the library too. You can talke walk during break. Open gym is also available. Parking space is adequate. Drinking water and Water Cooler is available. Toilets are available. Though Toilets are clean and with flush facility. However, READERS SHOULD DROP/FLUSH WATER AFTER URINATION/DEFECATION AS BAD ODOUR COMES FROM TOILETS. Wi-Fi facility is also available with a nominal charge of 50 RS/MONTH. Any person can come with their own books and can read free of cost. You can register for 01 YEAR with 500 RS/YEAR refundable security. After registration, books can be borrowed for 10 DAYS. TIMING of library is 0900 to 1900 hrs. Overall a very good experience and great environment for study. LIBRARY IS REALLY GOOD, READERS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THEIR RESPONSIBILITY.

Library opens at 9 AM Facilities available : Parking ✔️ Silence in library ✔️ (All used to silent there phones and used to pick up calls outside only .) Wifi ✔️(50rs/month) Water cooler ✔️ Outdoor gym ✔️ Ground or stadium ✔️ (Just don't throw packets in ground or on stairs ) Washroom ✔️ But Cleanliness Although it depends on students and people coming there . You all are requested to keep it clean by your end. But still no other better place was there in ambala for self study ,I found for aspirants... Just follow the basic civic sense
