Review: Edwise International Vashi – Australia Counselling Experience I, along with a close friend, engaged the services of Edwise International’s Vashi branch for Australian Master’s applications, specifically targeting the University of Queensland. During the process, despite possessing two recognised postgraduate diplomas—one in Clinical Research and the other in Regulatory Affairs—each spanning six months, completed right after my Bachelor of Pharmacy in twenty twenty-four, along with substantial work exposure, the assigned Australian counsellor misrepresented these qualifications. She categorised them merely as supplementary courses and omitted any mention of my employment history. Consequently, my application reflected an unexplained gap of one and a half years, disqualifying me from potential scholarships I rightfully deserved. Similarly, my friend—who completed his undergraduate degree in twenty twenty-three and had been professionally active ever since—was advised against declaring his work tenure. Neither did she highlight alternative universities with better fee structures or scholarship prospects. Due to these lapses, both of us were compelled to switch counsellors midway. After transferring to IDP Education, proper documentation was updated: my diplomas were reinstated, gaps justified, and my friend received comprehensive university suggestions. He eventually secured admission to a more affordable institution with a twenty percent tuition scholarship—outcomes Edwise never facilitated. Broadly speaking, compared to IDP, Edwise lacks essential student support. They do not offer pre-departure SIM connectivity, immediate overseas banking assistance, or any structured settlement guidance—facilities IDP provides seamlessly. In my view, Edwise counsellors—particularly for Germany and Australia—may not be adequately certified or updated on country-specific criteria. IDP, for instance, refuses to handle Germany solely because their team isn’t prepared for it; that’s transparency. I urge Edwise management to audit staff training standards and match industry benchmarks set by competitors. For future applicants: if Australia is your route, opt for IDP without hesitation.
