I have all my stuff set for Sweden. The process is somewhat lengthier compared to what other countries offer. The application period for 2025 autumn intake was from 15th Oct 2024 till 15th Jan 2025, and we got results on 27th March, the tuition fee deadline was on 1st May. You only can/have to pay 1st semester fee. We needed a minimum average of 6.5 on IELTS, to an extent Santamonica IELTS course can help you but then it all depends upon your proficiency in English. We don't have visa, it's Student Residence Permit, aka Student RP. Acquiring student RP is pretty easy if all your documents are clear af. I didn't see anyone getting rejected... To seal it better, ask your bank to check for any mail from migration department of sweden. Sometimes they may check with your bank for clarification of the fund. Housing is the only hassle I had, I only tried for university housing from start, but my university doesn't guarantee housing for students. And the housing usually works based on queues, the older your account on housing websites, the more is your chance that you get housing. It's recommended to have an account even before you plan. It doesn't cost you anything. Common websites are qasa, blocket, bostadblocket... You may also try facebook marketplaces and groups but beware of scammers if it's not university website/university monitored website. For example chalmers and gu students have sgs.se... you don't have to worry about scammers there. When it comes to santamonica, the staffs here are very welcoming and friendly, they never failed to double check most of the things. It was really nice! Goodluck!
