Nehru Library [H.A.U.]

Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first PM, is known for inspiring dialogues on children as the nation's future, science, and democracy, with famous lines like, "The children of today will make the India of tomorrow," and his poignant "Tryst with Destiny" speech at midnight, marking India's independence, where he spoke of a "nation waking up to life and freedom," emphasizing adventure, responsibility, and building a new India. I'm enrolled in this library since 3 months ago as outsider. The Nehru Library give you a immense stamna to read of full day. If you chasing a dream than every second of practice makes difference. Here we easily introspect ourself and self learn what we want. Library is neat & clean and surrounded by splendid atmosphere which enhance our bood circulation ( due to access of O2) & we easy to concentrate in our study.

Haryana Agricultural University was established as an autonomous body on February 2, 1970 by an Act of Parliament. Though the establishment of this Library coincides with the establishment of College of Veterinary Sciences in 1948, the year 1975 is a land-mark in its history, as the present library building - named after Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India - was officially dedicated to the university community in this year. The University Library, endeavoring over the last 30 years to leap forward in presenting new models in order to incorporate and emphasize the cardinal aspects of knowledge for scholarly pursuits, has carved a niche for itself in the arena of university setup. The magnificent library building - a blend of functional structure, elegance and exquisiteness - is centrally located within an easy access from all the constituent colleges of the university, hostels and residential areas.

One and only heaven in hisar is hau proud for myself I am passout from hau.

Best library I have seen in my life every book is available along with in house photocopy facilities which caters the need of professional and students of University ..

Library is very good but wifi service is not available

A huge library, one of it's kind—it has got 6 reading halls (both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned) with a capacity of 650 readers. There are many spots where you can read newspapers, work on your laptop etc. There are lawns in front of the building where you can spend time with your friends in the evening hours. The environment is very healthy and congenial for reading. Plus, there is a night reading hall, which remains open till 12:00 a.m. (the opening time changes with seasons) and has a capacity of 80 readers. There is a canteen too. There is a section inside the building where you can print books, get copies of books or other documents etc. at minimal price.
