Had a wonderful experience at Indian Music Experience, JP Nagar. The museum is beautifully curated and takes you through the rich journey of Indian music across eras, regions, and instruments. The interactive exhibits make it engaging for all age groups, and the space itself is very well maintained and peaceful. A must-visit for music lovers, students, and anyone curious about India’s musical heritage. Truly inspiring and informative!
Museum dedicated to Indian Music and Culture . No words are enough to describe the beautiful manner in which things are arranged strating from the evolution of Indian Classical music, the trinity of Indian Karnatic music , the great composes, musicians of all genre under one roof both vocal and instrumental. Arranged in three floors covering all music. One can immerse with headphones and enjoy the songs sung by stalwarts including film music, gazals , various instruments to name a few. There is a separate section where you can test your music skills by recording your voice and see the results. One need to spend a minimum of 3 hours to just understand what is in store. The entry fee is very reasonable for a place of this type.
Fantastic interactive music museum — a must-visit in Bengaluru! Indian Music Experience Museum offers a unique and immersive journey through the world of Indian music, from classical ragas to Bollywood and folk traditions. The hands-on exhibits, multimedia galleries, and the outdoor Sound Garden make learning about music fun and engaging for all ages. The museum showcases instruments, musical history, and interactive audio stations that let you listen, explore, and even create your own sounds. Great for families, music lovers, students, and visitors looking for an educational yet enjoyable outing.
A great spot for music lovers. This museum is beautifully maintained and offers a lovely experience, especially if you enjoy exploring musical history and instruments. The displays are well organized, and the overall ambiance makes the visit enjoyable. That said, it does feel a bit overpriced considering the museum is relatively small. You can still cover everything comfortably within a short time. However, the quality of maintenance and the charm of the place do make up for it. Overall, a nice visit for anyone who appreciates music and wants a quick, well curated experience.
The Indian Music Experience (IME) Center in JP Nagar, Bangalore is truly a must-visit destination for music lovers, families, and anyone curious about India’s incredible musical heritage! ✨ I recently visited, and the experience was absolutely fascinating from start to finish. The museum is beautifully designed, starting with interactive zones that allow you to experience sound, rhythm, and music in the most creative ways. One of the highlights for me was the section where you can create music using stones—yes, real stones that produce different pitches when tapped! It feels magical to create melodies from nature itself. There are also areas where you can try digital mixing, play with instruments, and create your own beats using touchscreen panels ️ . The galleries are brilliantly curated, showcasing everything from classical legends to folk traditions to modern Indian music icons. The visuals, audio installations, and storytelling make you feel deeply connected to India’s musical evolution . The sound domes are another amazing experience—just stand inside and get fully immersed in beautiful tunes . Kids will absolutely love the hands-on sections where they can explore drums, strings, and rhythm tools. Families can spend hours learning, playing, and discovering music together ❤️. The café and gift shop are also nice stops for a quick break and some unique souvenirs ☕ ️. Overall, the IME is not just a museum—it's a living, interactive world of music that inspires creativity, joy, and curiosity. Highly recommended for a fun, educational, and unforgettable day out!
This was a great experience for me and my family and the tickets are worth it. Enjoy every bit of it. There was space where we could mix the sounds of the instrument we wish and create a music of our own. Actually there are guided tours also available. When we were visiting there was a group of students taking guided tour. So we could also listen to them and understand a lot rather than just seeing.. The major highlight was the vertical display of musical instruments of wide variety. Also there was a recording studio. There are spaces to pose for good pictures tooo
It's not just a museum, it's about Indian art, history of bollywood, history of musical instruments, cassettes, cds and also other aspect of India cinema. ₹200 & ₹300 for weekend. Little expensive but you spend more than this on a movie so why not on this. Loved every bit of it. It's totally worth to show this to new generation so they have knowledge of past and present. They also have experience rooms where you can sit and experience the videos and sound effects. Also there are headphones to listen old music. They also have live music concert at additonal cost with time slots.
