I booked Raj Akka for my engagement, muhurta, and reception, and I couldn’t have asked for a better makeup artist. She and her team did an amazing job with my makeup, styling, draping, and hairstyle for all the events. Every single look was loved by everyone! What I appreciated most was how she focused on enhancing my natural features and kept the makeup beautifully minimal and elegant—exactly what I wanted. For my muhurta, I had barely 1.5 hours, but she still created my favourite look with such calmness and perfection. Raj Akka is incredibly sweet, patient, and easy-going. She never rushed through any step and always allowed the makeup to settle before moving on. Her team was also very cooperative and supportive, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

I booked her for 3 makeup looks, and all three turned out exactly the way I wanted. She was very professional, understood my preferences perfectly, and everything was done on time without any rush. The makeup looked beautiful and lasted well. I’m really happy with her work and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and talented makeup artist.

Where do I even begin? She is truly the best makeup artist in town. I’m from Pondicherry and had absolutely no idea whom to choose for my makeup. I randomly searched on Instagram and found her. The moment I saw her work, I instantly liked it. I spoke to her just once and felt so comfortable that I fixed her without a second thought. On the day of my event, she was genuinely concerned about how I wanted my look to be. She listened to all my teeny-tiny details and made sure everything was perfect. She added her own thoughtful suggestions here and there, and the final look came out beautifully. It was my perfect day — and without her, it would have been impossible to glow and shine the way I did. Thank you to her, and wishing her all the very best.

This will be a detailed review of my experience with a Makeupartist Rajeshwari ### My Mistakes: I booked her as my MUA for my wedding on February 25th and 26th, 2024—25th being my engagement and 26th my wedding. On the engagement day, I was quite late to the venue due to handling everything alone, with no one to assist me. She was already there waiting, and I was about 10-15 minutes late. I apologized for the delay. On my wedding day, I had initially booked and paid for two saree drapings but only planned for one hairstyle since I knew I wouldn’t have time for a second. After my first ritual, her assistant draped my second saree. In the morning, I had a Mangalore Mallige (jasmine) hairstyle, and later, I only wanted to remove the Mallige and attach a jade billa. I simply asked her assistant to remove the flowers and add the jade billa—nothing more. I even paid an additional ₹200-₹300 for that. It’s my mistake to have asked for this without informing before. ### Her Mistakes: 1. **Engagement Day**: - Although I was late and apologized, she rushed through my makeup, completing it in about an hour or less. I had always heard that bridal makeup typically takes a minimum of two hours, so I was disappointed. - I had shown her a reference picture of the hairstyle I wanted, but she wasn’t able to replicate it properly. It was completely ruined. 2. **Wedding Day**: - She had promised to arrive early, so I woke up at 5 AM and kept messaging her. However, she only arrived around 7 AM. - Again, she completed my makeup in less than an hour. To be honest, I wouldn’t even call it makeup—it felt like she just applied some foundation, kajal, and lipstick. The hairstyle was a disaster. I felt terrible about how I looked on my big day. She helped me too:- On my engagement day, I lost my **netti chutti** (forehead jewelry), and she helped me by lending hers, which I returned the next day. - On my wedding day, she provided a hair extension. When I went to return it, she brought up the assistant issue again, accusing me of getting a second hairstyle without her permission. - Unfortunately, I misplaced the hair extension and told her will return it next day and she started yelling at me, questioning why I had her assistant adjust my hairstyle without informing her. I explained that I had no intention of getting a second hairstyle or makeup and only requested a minor adjustment. However, she insisted that what I did was wrong. Despite having paid for the assistant’s service, she continued to argue, making me feel really low. Still, I acknowledged my mistakes and moved on. and i couldn’t return the same hair extention same day since I had a flight to Bangalore. I did, however, return it within a week. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend her. She takes multiple bookings one single day and do makeup in a hurry. Infact you shouldnt be called as an artist. I don’t even understand who does such a worst hairstyle just look at that manglore mallige jade. And the eyebrows were shapeless on wedding day. She really spoiled my big day. I’m writing this after one year of my wedding after thinking alot to write or not but just don’t want others to have their big day spoiled by booking her as MUA.(just verify and make sure you are the only one bride booked for the day) Despite paying full amount she did this to me. I was happy to pay her even more if she did her job in a right way.
