IDC School of Design

One of the best places to learn about design education and that too being in the IIT Campus. They have various sections such as clay design section, metal design section where you can see designs and prototypes made of that particular materials being displayed.

Championed 'Everyday Computational Thinking Empowerment', an extension of computational empowerment in the everyday lives of children in urban India, at the #IDC2025 workshop on Pushing the Boundaries of Computational Empowerment. IDC community was a refreshing and welcoming gathering of creative researchers passionately and genuinely caring about children, and thinking of them as being the protagonists of technology futures. There was a freshness in two aspects- 1. constructs the researchers are investigating and 2. the exciting methods and analysis levels they came up with to explore those constructs in data.

The prototyping studios on the ground floor are maintained and functional. Building seems to fall apart. Dogs roam the building and defecate on the floors and class. It is always being renovated. New students pick this place at your own risk. This review is not limited to the infrastructure but also the education.

IDC IIT Bombay is a part of IIT bombay. It's one of the finest institute of designing education in india.

Most prestigious of the design institutions in India, it certainly is a household name amongst architects and designers.
