Rajdeep, Shivani, Pavithra and Dipali from UID administration took us on a very detailed campus tour including the extended campus and hostel facilities. The Ambience and creativity around the campus is uber cool and has lot of elemental and earthy feel about it. It was a pretty hot weather, but we had ample water and rest as we parents trudged along the huge campus. Over all a very good experience. Mess serves good food and the rooms are hygienic.

UID design college is not so old in the list of top design colleges in India. After B. Des of NID and IIT, UID in Ahmedabad and MIT ADT in Pune gets spill over admission. Probably UID comes 4th ot 5th in the list of top colleges for Design. About campus, its very creative, lush green and with multiple food options for students. Many creative sculptures and artifacts raise impressions of this campus as creative & design school campus. About learnings, its still catching up to become prominent Design College destination. Curriculum wise, 2nd year onwards the some serious design study starts and by the last year it reaches to the specialization into Product Design, Ui Ux Visualization Communication, Jewelery Design, Fashion Design etc. About in campus hostel, they got girls hostel buildings within the campus as well which gives good proximity to food mess and college at walking distance. By far the staff and warden of hostels does their duty very well. Will look forward for the Design Competitions in this college as well as participation in National and International Design competitions to stand apart from other colleges. Will keep expanding this review based on the further experiences of this Design College to benefit students and parents looking for admission in upcoming years. In the end, what matters the most is education and placement of the students who gets graduated with B.Des from UID Ahmedabad.

Very cooperative staff. They made us comfortable with the campus tour. Patiently they showed us the whole campus and the hostel. The Administrative staff viz.Ms.Foram and Mr. Rushi Mehta were very informative about the whole curriculum, and other information. They patiently answered all our doubts.Very big and good campus with n number of workshops for all the disciplines so that the student can get hands on experiences. Hostels are very spacious with good hygiene.

UID School is located within the Karnavati University campus, offering an impressive range of facilities. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art workshops for glass, clay, jewelry, fashion design, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and woodworking, catering to various creative disciplines. Karnavati University also hosts other streams of education, including MBA, Dentistry, Law, and Arts. The campus boasts four cafeterias, intriguingly named Clockwise and Anti Clockwise, among others. The greenery across the campus adds to its serene environment, making it a pleasant place to study. For M.Des students, the semester fee is ₹2.75 lakh, with an additional ₹3 lakh per year for triple-sharing accommodation. Apart from these, there are no significant extra expenses. The counseling team was very helpful, offering a detailed campus tour and providing all the necessary information. The cafeterias serve a wide variety of hygienic and delicious food, adding to the overall positive experience. In summary, UID appears to be a great choice for design education, given its well-equipped workshops, decent campus within city limits, green surroundings, and supportive facilities.

Very nice campus and facilities are good for the design kids. Even the facility round was good and well managed. Improvement could be expanding the existing campus and not have seperate ones for hosteling.

I recently visited UID to explore the campus and understand more about their design programs, and I was genuinely impressed. The environment is vibrant, modern, and full of creative energy. We also had the chance to attend a workshop, which was extremely well-organized and interactive. The faculty members were friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable — they made sure everyone felt included and encouraged us to ask questions and try things hands-on.
