I joined TathaGat at a point where I was confused and inconsistent. I knew I was working hard, but my effort had no structure. What TathaGat gave me was clarity—how to think, how to select questions, and when to let go. The faculty didn’t care about boosting morale; they cared about fixing flawed thinking. Quant classes were mentally exhausting, but they trained me to stay calm under pressure. Verbal sessions helped me stop guessing and start reasoning. Personally, the biggest change was confidence—not blind confidence, but confidence backed by process. This institute demands accountability, and if you’re ready to take responsibility for your preparation, it delivers.

Here is my honest feedback on TG and its management. I started my preparation in February 2025, and we were told that the syllabus would be completed by June before we paid the fees. However, it was actually completed only by the end of September that too not properly. During the preparation, Rahul Sir (DILR) left within two months. As a result, our LR classes were not conducted for at least two months. Later, the DI portion was rushed, and we did not get enough time to prepare it properly. The Quant syllabus was rushed as well. I personally felt it was not sufficient, and most of the time I was advised to aim for next year as I was preparing alongside job. I understand the need to give students a reality check, but teachers should also motivate students to work hard for the current year and help them believe in themselves. Hearing this from a teacher really disheartened/demotivated me. Additionally, our other Quant teacher often seemed low on energy, which affected our morale as well. Some students in our batch were already strong because they had prepared earlier or had experience with other competitive exams. This made it difficult for beginners like us, as we did not receive enough attention. For almost six months, only Arithmetic was taught, and Geometry and Algebra were rushed within one month (September), and even that was not covered properly. I had to refer to other sources to complete my preparation. I was enrolled in the weekend batch, and sometimes they would schedule OMET classes along with one CAT class in June/July. However, revision classes were not properly conducted during SNAP preparation, and Decision Making classes for XAT began only after 15th December. Meanwhile, other institutes conducted revision sessions and started XAT syllabus by 4th December. TG management, do you really expect students to retain OMET topics taught in June until December without revision? Coming to Kumar Sir, I feel he encouraged us to read a lot of books and shared valuable life lessons. His tricks also helped me understand certain concepts in VARC. However, at times he seemed intimidating, which made me hesitant to ask questions. Still, he taught us discipline and good habits. That said, I do not think investing Rs. 50,000 only for VARC is worth it. Please research carefully before investing, especially because some of us have sponsored our tuition fees ourselves, and it really bites us.
