Zero rating. If you truly love your child, please don’t make this mistake. I am sharing my horrible experience of the last 30 days with this so-called play school. My son is not as fast or expressive as some other children. He is still learning basic things like toilet habits, which is completely natural for a child of his age. Instead of showing patience or care, the school principal repeatedly told us that "your child does toilet for two hours." Hearing this as a parent was extremely heartbreaking. Every day my wife had to wait outside of the school. Within just 30 minutes to 1 hour, the caretaker would hand over our son and say, "He keeps sitting in one place and does nothing." All other children were taken to the play area, while my son was regularly kept inside just because he was shy and not fully toilet trained. When my wife questioned the teacher and caretaker about this discrimination, their response was shocking. They said, "Your son doesn’t do anything, stays silent, and since he is not toilet trained, let him stay inside." I personally explained everything to the principal over the phone. Instead of understanding, she argued with me and clearly said they do not have a caretaker only for toilet cleaning. Finally, she told me directly to take back my child and money and leave the school. On 10th January 2026, when I visited the school with my wife to complete the closure process, I saw new parents coming for admissions. The same people who treated our child so badly were making big promises — saying they take care of everything from toilet training to studies and playtime. This is exactly how they behaved with us at the time of admission — polite, humble, and caring — which later turned out to be completely false. Another important thing parents should know: this school has a habit of shooting videos of children and posting them on WhatsApp, projecting an image of "dream-land care" and excellent child handling. They are very good at shooting and editing videos and promoting themselves online. Unfortunately, this image is far from the reality. What is shown on WhatsApp and what actually happens inside the school are completely different. Also in WhatsApp group they won't allow to write any thing publicly . But the day I and principal argued over phone, she posted videos in WhatsApp group, see the parents of Mohit how well we care your son. The principal clearly stated that they have no refund policy for the admission fee of ₹21,000. She said they would return only ₹6,650 via UPI, off the books, without providing any receipt. This itself raises serious ethical concerns. In front of other parents, they tried to portray themselves as a high-standard school and blamed my wife and me, saying we misunderstood everything. I did not argue in front of others. I only said one thing: "Please proceed with the closure procedure." To all loving parents, I want to say just one thing from my heart: "Never judge a book by its cover." Fancy words, edited videos, and false promises do not mean real care. Please be extremely careful while choosing a place for your child — especially if your child needs patience, understanding, and kindness.

Worst play school in the rourkela, plz don't enroll your child.. The child will go depression. They touchere the children . Biggest mistake of your life to admit your child here. The principal behavior is very bad and staffs also

This school is best school for my daughter. Principal mam and teachers are very nice and friendly. They put efforts for each and every student. And the students learns new new things with fun and game, which they enjoy. My daughter doesn't want to miss one day of her school. Thank u mams and thank u Merryland.

I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff is incredibly nurturing and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The curriculum is engaging and fosters creativity through play-based learning, allowing children to explore and develop important social skills. child has come home excited about new activities and friendships. Overall, it's a fantastic place for early childhood development!

I am impressed with School's teaching methods. I thankfull to Principal madam and all teachers for nurturing our children well. I feel happy to see my child's positive attitude towards learning and activities.Teachers are dedicated. My child's progress is amazing and now he enjoy coming to school.

Choosing Merryland International Playschool has been the best choice I've ever made for my son..Here the Principal ma'am and all the teachers are very kind, gentle & friendly towards the children. They give much attention, care and opportunities to each and every children equally. They provide all round development of the child.
