This is the place where my hostel life had began. From 2018-21, each day was special and grateful for the management of VMKB hostel to provide us with all facilities to make our college life fun. VMKB hostel is best for a reason, there are student let committees of for various hostel management activities which makes it a happy place to live. The staff is supportive and caring. All festivals are celebrated with same zeal and enthusiasm. Annual hostel day events are special. The seniors or ex-students are available too for any support required. Overall a wholesome place to start your college life in Mumbai. Thank you for all the love and care, VMKB hostel!

My experience at VMKB Hostel, Matunga, has been positive overall. The hostel is mainly designed for students, so the environment is calm and study-friendly. The biggest benefit is the location — Matunga has excellent connectivity, and daily essentials, gyms, libraries, and railway stations are all within walking distance. Rooms are simple and functional; nothing fancy, but enough for a student. Cleanliness is decent, though it improves a lot if the roommates maintain the space. Staff members are strict about timings and discipline, which helps maintain safety inside the premises.

I had an amazing stay! The hostel's amenities, including a sports room, gym, and library, will definitely exceed your expectations. The weekly and annual events were a great way to connect with others. But what truly sets it apart among students is its prime location - a cherry on the cake! Highly recommended for students.

Reasonable fees as of academic year 2026. Student peers are good. Cleanliness is x factor. Worst part is management. Things don't resolve fast. Students comfort will always be last priority unless it's a compulsion. But there's no other hostel in the area and also since they collect entire annual fees in advance, they always function as a monopoly. Even if you will give suggestions with modest attitude, they will either say we will see and do it by the end of the year or point black tell you to leave the hostel if they don't like things. I know a guy who was not refunded security deposit for giving a negative remark in leaving form.

My hostel has always been more than just a place to stay it’s a place where memories were made without even trying. From late-night talks that turned into early-morning laughter, to sharing food, jokes, and secrets with roommates who eventually became family, every corner of the hostel carries a story.
