I studied at Veda Vyasa Vidyalayam from LKG to 10th, and honestly, my experience here was far from positive, especially during 9th and 10th. Many teachers, including Gangadharan Sir, our Hindi teacher, were overly strict and often physically punitive. Even students who studied well or scored good marks were punished over minor issues, which created a toxic environment. Teachers could be harsh and unreasonable over trivial matters and sometimes called parents unnecessarily. Gender bias in treatment was noticeable—boys often faced stricter discipline while girls were treated more leniently. The school facilities were also disappointing. Toilets were dirty, and the canteen food was not good. During classes, even basic needs like going to the toilet were sometimes denied or made into a public scolding moment, which was humiliating. The constant pressure in 10th grade, combined with the lack of support for extracurriculars like arts, sports, or other creative activities, made the environment stressful rather than nurturing. Overall, Veda Vyasa Vidyalayam focuses heavily on strict discipline and academics but neglects the emotional well-being and overall growth of students. I only started truly enjoying my studies and life after leaving this school. I hope the current and future students get a better, more supportive environment than what I experienced.
My children have been enrolled at VedavyasaVidyalayam since Kindergarten. While my eldest daughter’s experience was without major issues, my other two children — especially my youngest son — have faced extremely distressing situations at this school. The most serious incident occurred when my youngest son was physically hit by his English teacher, Ms. Reshmi, to the extent that he began suffering from recurring nightmares. This incident deeply disturbed our family. When we reported the matter to the school authorities, instead of addressing the misconduct or prioritizing my child’s safety, they attempted to shift the blame onto my son. Such a response is both unprofessional and unacceptable. The teacher in question, Ms. Reshmi, has consistently demonstrated poor command over English, lacking even the basic ability to frame sentences correctly. Initially assigned to higher classes, she was later moved to lower classes after failing in that role. Despite this change, her behaviour towards children remains harsh, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate for an educator — especially one entrusted with teaching small children. Based on my family’s experience, I strongly advise parents to reconsider enrolling their children in this school. A school must ensure the safety, emotional well-being, and respectful treatment of every child. In this case, these fundamental responsibilities have been neglected.
One of the best CBSE School in Kozhikode district under Bharatiya Vidya Niketan which focuses on Panchangha Sikshanam i.e along with regular academic routine emphasis is giving to Sanskrit, Culture , Music, Sports and Yoga. Trained and experienced teachers and professional management. It is one of the rare schools in Dakshina Bharat where former President Shri Abdul Kalam visited. Recently, the central government has also given permission to this institution to start a military school. Atal Tinkering Lab, Compulsory Sanskrit and Yoga are their other peculiarities. Nowadays they are also making extra effort to improve pupils English language skills especially in the area of communicative English. Fees is also affordable and easy to access from all parts of Kozhikode. Situated near to Malaparamba Traffic Signal adjacent to Sri. Ramananda Asramam and on the by side of NH 66 on Malaparamba Florican Road. Clean and Calm, near and tidy. New parents can surely short list this school while searching for academic option to their children's. Classes are available from LKG to Plus Two. CBSE Syllabus. English Medium. Time 9.30 AM to 04 PM. Daily 15 minutes prayer and meditation session.
I have studied in this school from Lkg to 10th std (2006-2018) and honestly it was worst experience for me especially in 9th and 10th std. Later, I left there after 10th std and continued my studies from another school and College and then including studying, I have enjoyed my life after leaving there. Here I would like to share some of my experiences which I had from this place. • Majority teachers of Vvv were really annoying and becomes Overstrict to the students, that comes Toxic, even also to those students who used to study very well. One day during 10th std, A well studying student who even score good marks got punished by a teacher only because of difference in just 2 or 3 marks. The teacher was really Harassing so deeply and student got down. But nothing has happened to that student after that. • Even in case of silly matters, some teachers behave very badly to the students and also call their parents to meet them which we call it as senseless. • During 9th std, I had a sir who behaves to the students in a very strange way. Actually I'm an Introvert, I'm not that much close to anyone and I haven't felt any problem with it. But this man was talking negatives on me to the class, even also to the teachers and to the whole class that makes me down. He and some other teachers thinks of me like this in a strange way. • Also that teacher had insulted a student's father to the whole class and that student felt crying which a teacher should not be behaved like that. • During 5th std, one day in a class I had a Loose motion and I have asked the teacher for the permission to go to the toilet. He accepted but he was giving lecture for 2-3 minutes and the entire class was mocking me when he was scolding. Same this have happened to every students in different classes. And same this also happened to me during 7th std. Some teachers were not allowing to go to the toilet. So I always wait for the Intervals (since the toilets were dirty, I have used to wait till the evening to reach my home and use my toilet). • The interesting part is that some teachers treat their students using gender, like rude behaviour to boys and soft behaviour to girls. • Dirty and Unclean toilets • Waste canteen food. • As it is a CBSE school, the teachers used to pressurize us during 10th std. Also with their studies, please allow the students to focus on their arts, sports and other extra curricular activities that would make them more talented. And arrange the facilities for it. I hope these worst experiences which me and my batchmates had may won't happen again to the currently studying students.
1000000 stars. it is the best school. In 2024 Im studying in 6E .The teachers not only teach the chapters they also teach us good values we need.We also read bhagavath Geetha all day in the morning we call our female teachers chechi and male teachers maman to increase the bond between teachers and children's.The teachers are very friendly. The main periods are history ,geography, science, civics,Malayalam ,Sanskrit,Hindi ,english ,ict ,naithikam, ccas and ccaa .
The worst schooling I ever had "The hell " Teachers were toxic I studied from UKG to 6th standard. Aftr leaving the school, I joined my new school and continued my studies. From there only I could know how teachers behaviour should be& What is a real teacher student relationship. The worst thing majority of the students experienced would be eating the left over food from tiffin box after the luch break .Which is forced eating infront of the whole class ,especially second last period(yoga teacher Mr Santhosh). Demotivating students, humiliating students infront of the whole class was the negative side of teachers of VVV.
Very well managed school especially in Kerala because now a days external influences like drugs & alcohols rampant everywhere. They are doing good job. Calicut is called cultured city. These kinds of schools create such citizens.
