I initially applied online for my learner’s permit (LLR) and was waiting for the RTO to approve it. As expected, the RTO was taking their own sweet time. I reached out to this driving school in the meantime. They told me it would take 7 to 15 days to get the LLR, but surprisingly, I got it the very next day. While I know this was a result of my own online application, the school claimed credit and said they had pulled strings at the RTO to speed things up. They also said there would be a mock test before the actual driving test. No one contacted me about it until I followed up on Friday. My test was scheduled for Monday morning. They told me to come in at 6 AM. I showed up as instructed. The person in charge at the site was extremely unpleasant to deal with. He looked like he hadn’t had a good night’s sleep or a good day in years. During the so-called mock test, he yelled at me for wearing shoes in the car. I’ve been driving for over 15 years, and he insisted I drive barefoot. In many countries, it’s illegal to drive without proper footwear, but apparently he had his own set of rules. I asked what the RTO would expect during the actual test. He gave me no real guidance. Just told me to go straight and come back in reverse. No mention of hand signals, no briefing, nothing. During the mock test, when the vehicle didn’t move immediately, I gently pressed the accelerator and he started yelling like something bit him. Again, no prior instructions were given. On the actual test at about 10am, the RTO officer was barely paying attention as she was busy with two-wheelers. I looked over to the instructor for a signal on when to move or what to do. His response? "Why are you looking at me? Just drive." And then came the surprise about a dress code. Nowhere on their website is there any mention of what to wear. But this guy had his own rulebook and attitude to match. Because of the messed up dynamic between the driving school and the RTO, students like me are left to deal with unprofessionalism, poor communication, and made-up rules. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere if you can.

Irritating and irrespective staffs and MD compared with other driving schools in my approach experience. If any idea to take licence or learning driving please go the other driving schools or directly approach RTO office. Because some respect got government officials compared with this stupid driving school. Special Note - if you required/increase BP ( blood pressure) please contact SAKTHI DRIVING SCHOOl.
